ABOUT ANNIE

Originally from Connecticut, Annie is a music teacher with ten years experience teaching private voice and piano lessons. Since 2011, she has maintained a full studio at both Cornerstone Music Studios in Millstone, NJ and The Chapin School, Princeton. She also sings professionally and direct the children's choir at Trinity Church, Princeton and directs the lower school operetta at Princeton Day School.
Annie believes that music lessons should be fun and enjoys making a personal connection with her students while maintaining a high level of education based in theory and technique.

Annie holds the degrees of Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Connecticut State University. She is an experienced performer in the areas of musical theater, opera, choral music, and popular music and is comfortable teaching whichever genre will allow the student to express themselves while learning.

As a performer, Annie can be seen frequently in recital and on the stage. Most recently, she performed at the Kelsey Theater in West Windsor, NJ in "Crazy for You" (Irene) and "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (Alice). She has also presented musical theater recitals with friend, colleague and collaborator Shane Tapley entitled "Time" and "The Doctor Is In", both at All Saints Episcopal Church in Princeton, NJ. During her time at Westminster, Annie performed with the Symphonic Choir at Carnegie Hall and The Kimmel Center with world-renown orchestras such as The Berlin Philharmonic and The Philadelphia Orchestra, under the batons of Simon Rattle, Yannick Nezet Seguin, and Gustavo Dudamel.
